Kanye West to Acquire Social Media App Parler

Kanye West, also known as Ye, agree to acquire social media app Parler. Parler has faced online restrictions from the app stores due to associations with Republican figures. Parlement Technologies is the company behind the Parler app. Parlement Technologies announced that it entered into an agreement in principle to sell the social media platform to Ye for an undisclosed amount.
In January 2021, Apple Inc. suspended Parler from the App Store. This is after Google (Alphabet) banned Parler from Google Play.
