Mubadala Capital is a Preferred Bidder to Invest in Brazil Football League

Mubadala Capital, a sovereign wealth enterprise of Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company, was selected as a preferred investor by the finance committee of the Libra project (Liga Brasileira). Libra is one of two collectives of Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Série B teams seeking to drive plans for a new Brazilian football league system. Mubadala Capital made an offer of BRL 4,750 billion for the purchase of 20% of the new Brazilian League. The proposal was made for the clubs of Libra, a block formed by Botafogo, Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Grêmio, Guarani, Ituano, Novorizontino, Palmeiras, Ponte Preta, Red Bull Bragantino, Santos, and São Paulo e Vasco.
